concert with a 'proms in the park' theme in June. Full details coming
soon but the date has now been confirmed as 28th June, in Wakefield,
Yorkshire. Rebecca will be one of many singers to perform on the night,

HEADLINES LORD MAYOR'S GALA CONCERT
Rebecca performed as the headline act for the Lord Mayor's Charity Gala Concert at The Theatre Royal, in York on Sunday 25th March 2012. The capacity audience were treated to some wonderful displays of talent from the local area and Rebecca was honoured to be among them. Rebecca would like to thank all those involved in making the event so successful and helping to raise several thousand pounds for York Against Cancer and York Mind. MAKES HER DEBUT AT SCARBOROUGH SPA Rebecca was asked to be the guest artiste for the annual Festive Spectacular at The Scarborough Spa on 3rd December 2011. It was hosted by popular BBC anchorman Harry Gration and included a united choir of school children. The newly refurbished spa was packed full (as always for this popular event) and Rebecca reached a new audience with her choice of operatic arias and Christmas songs, including O Holy Night. RAISED FOR CHILDLINE WITH WEST BUIDLING SUPPLIES Rebecca had a booking with a difference when the owners of West Building Supplies asked her to perform at their anniversary dinner and dance, offering to put the charity raffle money towards her designated charity, Childline. Over £1315 was raised for the charity. Rebecca would like to extend her warm thanks to everyone who helped to add to her fundraising total, which now exceeds £7,000. (Posted 15/12/11) |

CONCERT
A ROARING SUCCESS!
Rebecca's concert at the Joseph Rowntree Theatre on 3rd July 2011 was a massive success. It was Rebecca's first self-produced concert on this scale and the feedback has been incredible. Rebecca was accompanied by a 6-piece 'mini-orchestra' with guest tenor Ben Thapa, from the former classical vocal group G4, and Rebecca Gardner, local singer-pianist, completing the line-up. Here are some comments received: "I just wanted to say what a lovely concert it was on Sunday evening. Your singing was as glorious as ever and the mini orchestra were excellent. DONATED TO CHILDLINE Rebecca's put her concert to good use by inviting a Childline representative to accept a cheque on the charity's behalf and tell the audience a little bit about the charity's work. Rebecca set herself the target of £5,000 to raise when she released her CD 'Cantare' in 2008, with 50p per copy going to the charity. Her following two CD releases, 'Memory' (2009) and 'O Holy Night' (2010) also helped to raise money. The work will now continue.... (Posted 15/12/11) |
