Rebecca is a very experienced and popular wedding singer, singing at her first wedding at only 15 and having performed at well over 150 weddings in the past three years alone. She has performed at ceremonies, drinks receptions, meals and evening events and is happy to provide a quote and ideas for song choices or how her vocals could be incorporated into your day. Rebecca is based in York but does travel regularly. Discounts are offered if more than one part of the day is booked.

Wedding Ceremonies
The ceremony is the most popular part of the day to have a soloist. It is becoming very fashionable to have the entrance and exit music sung, rather than using the traditional organ in a church, or a CD player. Song choices are very flexible and Rebecca will happily guide you through some choices or learn a favourite of yours to make your ceremony personal to you as a couple. Rebecca has sung in small intimate chapels through to imposing, grand stately homes like Allerton Castle, Dalhousie Castle and Ripley Castle.

Drinks Receptions
After your ceremony you will want to take photographs, greet your guests and generally have a bit of a breather before the wedding breakfast begins. At this point Rebecca often sings lighter repertoire (with a small PA system and backing tracks, unless an accompanist is organised as well) like Eva Cassidy, Norah Jones, Leona Lewis, Dido, Corrine Bailey Rae, etc. This is to allow guests to mingle and chat with the music being background music, rather than an imposing performance that guests sit and listen to. Of course, if you prefer some light classical too this is not a problem either. The day is yours so all ideas are welcome. The drinks reception usually lasts 1.5-2 hours, so Rebecca sings for two sets of approximately 40 minutes.

Wedding Breakfast
Sometimes people prefer to have Rebecca sing at a point where people are seated and can listen to the performance easier. Rebecca has sung at a number of Wedding Breakfasts while people are seated having their meal, before the speeches. This allows for a wide variety of music to be performed including classical and the more theatrical show songs - particularly popular with ardent theatregoers! Also, a selection of your favourite pop can be performed, or you can mix it up. It is entirely up to you.

Evening Receptions
Rebecca has also sung at the start of the evening 'do', especially to offer a live performance of the First Dance song. Again, the ideas can come from you as to how you would like this to work into your day, so feel free to get in touch and get the ball rolling.

Accompanists
Rebecca can also quote for live accompaniment - pianists, harpists, guitarists, string quartets, etc. Please ask if this is something you are interested in.
